So it's been a while. Okay, it's been almost four months since I last posted on here. But I have been busy. So very busy. At the end of last year I made a big decision. I decided that I would split my beady goodies into two Etsy shops. One would focus on bead patterns and the other on jewelry and art. And I am going to focus on the patterns first. This means that I need to create new patterns like a mad person. So starting around Christmas time, I began making new patterns. I started out with old patterns that I had never actually made into files for people to buy, then I started to focus on new patterns that I've wanted to do for years.
So for the last few months I've been working solely on patterns. I'm having a blast making them. I'm learning a lot about what I like to create. I really love abstract patterns. Abstract patterns with bright colors. I've been making so many of them. And having a lot of fun doing it.
Currently I am working on a new Earth series of patterns. I was inspired by some really beautiful photos NASA took of our amazing planet. The colors and the patterns are amazing. Swirls. Lines. Ridges. So many beautiful images. Check them out in my Etsy shop today and get yourself a great little project for this weekend.
I do have a big reason for doing all these changes. I would love to drop down to part time at work. This would be a dream come true. I would be able to spend much more time with my little family and also do what I love, be creative. Don't get me wrong, I love my day job, but to be able to spend more time with my toddler before she gets too big to want to hang out with mom, would be the most amazing thing ever. I love creating these patterns and I know everyone else will love them as much as I do. And who knows, maybe someday, I'll be able to do this full time and be able to be creative all day long. That would be amazing. And also if I could be doing it on the beach, in the Caribbean. Hahahaha, a girl can dream.
Just a girl that loves to bead, take photos, and cuddle with her new baby and her pug.
