Remember that awesome pattern I listed a couple weeks ago? The ultraviolet purple tiger stripe cuff? The one that will get you noticed from across the room?
Well, if you haven't guessed already, it's now available as a finished cuff.
Don't have time to bead one up yourself? That's okay, here's the finished one. Don't know how to bead? That's cool too, here's the finished one for you.
Look at it! It's so amazing. I think I might have to make one for myself. I love it so much.
The metallic purple beads just jump out at you and grab your attention. They say, "look at me." Swoon! I know I'm a sucker for purple, but this is just out of this world cool.
The pattern is original and was designed in my small studio by moi. It's all hand beaded using the best quality Japanese glass seed beads, so it's made to last.
There is one available for instant purchase, so you should grab this up before it sells out.
The good news, once this one is gone, it will be available as a custom order. The plus side, you can let me know what size you need. The downside, it will take up to 4 weeks to ship. So if you need one now, I know you do, you need to order now!
And always, if you would like this in a different size or maybe a different color (blues would be cool), shot me a message and we can work together to make you the most perfect unique item ever!

Last weekend we had our first camp fire of the season. Well, to be honest it was our second, but the first one only lasted a half an hour before we got rained out. So this was our official first one. One that we made s'mores and had a few adult beverages and the company of good friends.
We love hanging out in our backyard during the summer. Even though it's in the middle of the city, it's still filled with trees and plants (and wildlife). The best part, you don't hear the noise of the city. We are fairly close to the highway and you would never know it. It's our little retreat from a hard days work. Sitting on the deck watching LO play or hanging around the fire with friends. I love it. But enough about my personal life and my love of my backyard. Let's get to the important things.
Yay! I have been making a bunch of changes to my Facebook page and I have been having so much fun getting to know everyone. I love doing the daily question and seeing pics of fur babies. It's been so much fun, I decided to start a group so we could get to know each other on a more personal level. We'll be talking about all kinds of great things. Food, travel, art, business, family, and food. Did I already say food? There will be a lot of food talk from my end.
I'll also be offering group only deals. Things that only group members will have access to. As well as some "before anyone else" peeks at new products. I will also do some giveaways for members only.
Come join me and get in on the conversation. It's a small group now, but I know you'll help me grow and make it an awesome place to handout. Click the button below to join. There is a quick question you need to answer to join, but that's because I want to keep the spamy bots out.
Don't forget to also sign up for my email newsletter. You'll get awesome info and some email only deals (right now my readers get upgraded shipping until the end of the month). You'll also be entered to win this awesome pair of earrings. The winner will be announced, July 1st. So, what are you waiting for? Go sign up today!
I've been working my butt off on my new logo and working on re-branding my shop. I'm in love with it, I really am and I hope everyone else out there is as well. But all that work at a computer has really hampered the amount of actual artwork I make. I'm soooo glad I can take a break on my logo because I really missed just sitting down and working with some awesome beads.
Good news, I do have some new beadwork to share. All the computer work also included to new photos being edited. I have a whole stack of new goodies that I started working on before the whole logo thing began. Now I can finally post them and share them with all of you.
This one this week is a great bead embroidered brooch. I know it's not really brooch season, but I just love it so much, I couldn't wait to share it.
It's all hand embroidered with great matte turquoise colored beads, accented with some red. And of course that beautiful redstone marble bead that catches the eye. It's so lovely. It honestly makes me smile when I see it.
If you love it as much as I do, and I know you do, check it out in my shop.
Ugh, I missed my blog post last week. Yuk. What's up with that? The holiday just threw me off so much. One little difference and I'm lost and off my schedule. I seriously missed a bunch of things last weeks. Oh well, it is what it is. The only thing I can do is hold my head high and get back on the (blogging) horse.
So let's just get into it!
I've been working on a new updated logo. It's actually something I've been working on for a very long time. A few years. I have a friend that is a graphic designer and we've been working together on something I like. Well I think I might finally have something I'm happy with.
I'm still not sure about the font, but it's growing on me. I still might change it up a little bit. I also am thinking about adding some beads. Maybe a strand of beads or something like that. It's a work in progress.
It is based on a photo I took of a fox skull from my collection. I made a bunch of different sketches from different angels, trying to find something I like. The hubs liked the side view, but I wasn't sold. I tried this angel, and I liked it, but there was something missing. That's where the ears came in. The idea came from a plastic skeleton of a rat we have in the lab. It has ears, not sure why, but it does. Even though it doesn't make sense for a skeleton to have ears, I liked it. So I tried some big fox years and was smitten. I instantly knew this was what I've wanted.
But it needed something else. Something pretty. Enter the flowers. I tried all different types of flowers. Daisies, roses, violets, etc. But the poppies had my heart. The pop of red poppies make me so happy. It's beautiful.
I'm pretty happy with it. Like I said, I'll probably be tweaking it here and there. But overall it's finally finished. Finally after years of working on it. It feels so good to have something I'm happy with.

Summer is hear and I'm so ready for it. I feel like I have been coopd up for so long I'm ready to break free. I have been spending as much as possible outside. I'm loving it and my little one is as well. That little girl would live outside if I let her. But I can't blame her.
Unfortunately the lovely weather is preventing my from being in the studio. It's not that I don't want to be in there, I love creating, but I also love being outside. Enjoying the weather, not wearing shoes, relaxing. It's great. I mean, who doesn't love that? How much time is everyone else spending outside?
But I have been forcing myself to do some work in the studio. Mostly photography. I have been working, and working, and working a little bit more on getting some photos that I'm happy with. I feel like I'm getting closer to something that I feel is acceptable.
I've been working on uping my game. Adding a little bit of this and that to make the photos look more professional. More appealing. That means taking hundreds of photos.
But that's okay. Practice makes perfect. And I've been practicing with some of these new simple necklaces. What do you think of these photos? I think they still need a little something, but are getting better. Do like the look or do you think they are too distracting? Let me know. I would love to hear from all of you wonderful people.
And also, check out these great necklaces. They are bright and colorful, just like I like it, but they are also simple and something you can wear everyday. They make great gifts for the end of the school year to let that special teacher know how much you appreciate their work.
They are always very popular at shows. Each one is unique and different.
They will be available in my shop soon. If you can't wait for them to go live, send me a message and I can get some ready just for you.
Don't forget about my newsletter giveaway. There are only a few days left in May to enter to win this great beaded necklace. My newsletter is filled with email only deals, tips and tricks, tutorials, show updates, and much more. Sign up today to be entered to win.
I've had quite a few requests for my guitar string bracelets over the past year, so I've decided to start offering them again! YAY!
These are great bracelets that can be work by themselves or stacked all the way up your arm. They look great either way!
They are made with recycled guitar strings that have been on many guitars on many of the stages here Madison Wisconsin. So each one has a great story to go along with it. And since the strings have a second life as bracelets, they are eco friendly.
Pair them with a guitar pick necklace and you've got yourself a great musical set.
They make great gifts as well. Get one for a music lover you know. Or maybe a few for the rocker chick in your life. Or maybe just treat yourself and get a couple for you. Go ahead. You're worth it. Check them out in my Etsy shop today!
I mean just look at that detail. The bright pink wire. I could eat them up!
I have a few of these and I love them. I actually have the first one I ever made still. I won't share with you how old that one is, okay maybe I will. It's about 10 years old now. Holy crap. I can't believe I started making these almost 10 years ago. They have come a long way from that first prototype, but they are still as cool.
Don't forget to enter my newsletter giveaway. If I can get 25 new readers by the end of May, I'll be giving one of those lucky readers a beaded necklace! I'm almost to my goal, so let's see if I can do this. Help a girl out and sign up today. And share it with friends and family that would also love to get bright beady emails from me. Then take to social media and share it there. I appreciate everyone helping me out!
If you sign up through this website (pop up or upper left corner) you'll get a 10% coupon that you can use in my Etsy shop. Oh yeah, Bonus!
Just a girl that loves to bead, take photos, and cuddle with her new baby and her pug.
