My plan to blog every week for the whole month of March almost fell through. I almost missed this week. 😬 But I remembered today. I will get the blog thing down, I know it. Free Shipping Sale ends soon. Get your mother something that is unique as her or maybe your best friend's birthday is coming up. Or why not just spoil yourself and get something you would love. Go ahead, treat yo self.
I've been busy making new guitar string bracelets. I stopped making these a few years ago because they were difficult and frustrating for me to make. I solder each one by hand to make sure they are tough enough for everyday wear. I by no means am an expert at soldering, but I get by. Now if you have ever worked with guitar strings you know they kinda have a mind of their own. So trying to hold them in a bracelet shape and solder was frustrating to say the least. So I gave up. I know, I can't believe I just gave up, it's not like me. Then I was contacted by someone to ask if I still made these. She told me she really loved how mine looked and would love to order one as a gift. So I got out my soldering iron. Problem was, my soldering iron decided to crap out. I mean not even warm up a little bit (Que trombone sounds here). Well after doing a little bit of research I ordered myself a brand new soldering station. Oh yeah. No more cheap soldering iron from the hardware store. A full fledged soldering station. This changed my life. It heats up instantly, so no more waiting for that. I holds it's heat better. It takes me minutes to solder instead of a half an hour. So I can focus on the fun parts of making these. I have been making them like crazy and will be listing them soon in my NEW Etsy shop. I've decided to open a second (and possibly third) Etsy shop to keep everything separate and more convenient for you, the shopper, to find things. So keep and eye open for my new shops.

I've been using a plain white background for a few years now and I have never been sold. I like it because it makes my bright jewelry pop, but I'm just not sure if it's what's best for me Also, if i have any thing with white in it, like the earrings above, it's hard for it to look nice on an all white background. They just sort of melt into the background. Here is the same cuff but with the two different backgrounds. I like the white because the purple really pops, but the white starts to get lost. But on the dark background, I feel all the colors look nice. What do all of you think? Go with the new darker background or stay with the old white one? And don't forget to sign up for my newsletter. I'm starting a reboot and I'm ready to go. You'll receive email only sales and coupons. Updates on show dates. Tips and tutorials. All for you!
Sign up today. Daylight savings is kicking my butt a little bit today. I'm trying to not let it get to me, but it is. Lots of caffeine in my future. This weekend was a little crazy for us here in la case de Three Fates. LO fell and split her lip open on Saturday, but quickly forgot about it after we went to the Lego Store. Then on Saturday she had another little tumble. No blood. Just a big ol' bruise. Lots of kisses and snuggles and a little bit of ice and she was good as new. Oh the toddler years. My husband asked me if this would be the last time we had a weekend like this. I had to let him down and tell him she would be falling and getting bumps and bruises for a while. Hahaha. Poor daddy. But alas, even with all the craziness, I did get a new project finished up. Well almost finished. I have been working on the idea of small bead embroidered hoop and this is my first attempt. I'm pretty happy with how it's turning out. I have had this focal bead for a while and I've been trying to decide what to do with it. I thought about making a necklace. But I thought this was a better use of it. I'm so happy with how it turned out. Simple but so pretty.
I still need to add the backing and a ribbon to hang it, so it's not up in my Etsy Shop yet. But it will be up soon, so make sure to check back soon. Ugh, I almost forgot to post today. Someday I'll get this whole steady posting down. I promise. ![]() I've been working hard on my SEO and updating my shop. I've also been trying to make some new beaded patterns and maybe work on a small project here and there. But this past weekend I worked on some new photos. I've been trying to update my item photos and add some model photos. I've been trying to take some photos of myself wearing my jewelry and it's going okay. I'm running into a few problems that I didn't think about, but overall I think it's going okay. So what does everyone think? How am I doing at poses? Do you think they show off my jewelry or should I keep trying? I would love to hear some feedback on what people think.
