It's almost that time of year. Time to get dressed up in those costumes. Watch those scary movies. Gorge yourself on little tiny candy bars (no judgement here). It's almost HALLOWEEN! This is my favorite time of year. I know, I've said that before, but I mean it. I love everything about it. I love that we get to be anything we like. And who doesn't love a good scare. But if you kinda forgot that spooky time is coming up, that's okay there is still time to get those last minute Halloween goodies.
This article includes affiliate links from Amazon. That just means that I get a little fee if you click on the link or purchase something and no additional cost to you. That little fee helps me keep writing these articles. All my opinions are my own. I am featuring these products because I love them.
I've made a list of my favorite last minute Halloween goodies. There is everything from carving pumpkins, to decorating the house, to dressing up. It's just a little list of things that you can still get before Halloween and still enjoy the spooky season this year.
First let's talk about pumpkins. Carving them in particular. I've carved a lot of pumpkins in my life time. I've carved ones that were big enough for me to crawl in. I've carved little ones. I've painted some. I've even carved some on a Mexican beach while sipping fruity drinks (that was quite the Halloween).
I would recommend not getting a kit that has those tiny little plastic tools in them. Last year we broke all of them and had to do a late night run to Walgreens to get some more. The plastic ones just don't hold up well, so if you're going to do any sort of carving, then go with more substantial tools. Trust me, they will just make the pumpkin carving go a lot smoother and be a lot more enjoyable.
Once you got your tools, you'll have to decide what you are going to carve on the pumpkin. You can go with your own designs if you are artsy. We usually do a few that we made up the designs for (we carve a lot of pumpkins each year).
But if you are not creative enough to design your own designs, that's okay. There are lots of free patterns out there. Just do a quick search on Pinterest and a million patterns will come up.
You can also go the route of a stencil book. There are so many different designs out there, you will have a hard time picking one.
Money saving tip - We normally pick up some stencil books after Halloween when they are on clearance. Then next year we have a bunch to pick from. Check you local stores a day or two after Halloween and see what they have.
So you have your pumpkin carved, but you've decided you want to spruce up the place and give it a little bit more of that spooky vibe. Let's talk decorations for inside your house.
The easiest thing you can do to Halloween up you house is to put up some lights. We have lights everywhere, maybe even more than what we have for Christmas. And you can get some of the cutest little lights. We have little purple bats on our wreath on our little spooky tree in our little spooky town. We have purple light all over.
You don't need to put them in the windows (though they look good there too), you can put them anywhere. We have lights hanging in our kitchen because why not.
And if you're looking for a few decorations to put around the house, you can go with something out of the ordinary like this awesome monster plant. It lights up and everything, and who doesn't love things that light up.
Or maybe get these great pictures that look normal when you look at them, but they look spooky when you move to the side. Just think about if you mixed these in with the pictures you already have on the wall. How spooky would that be if someone was looking at your family photos and then, BAM, spooky time.
Don't think you just have to do classic Halloween. You can use things like these beautiful candles. You could use them year round, but mixed in with some other spooky things, they would make for a beautiful Halloween addition.
And let's not forget my absolute favorite decoration of them all. Wall bats. I put bats up on my wall every single year and I've been doing that for years.
I made them myself. I just cut out some bat shapes in black cardstock. I use the poster putty stuff to stick them to the wall. They look awesome and I get so many compliments. Mine took forever to make because I cut them by hand, but I've seen lots of patterns out there for the lucky people that have Silhouettes.
And if you don't have a Silhouette or if you don't want to cut out some bats by hand, you can always buy some. Get some awesome bats for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
And if you have time or energy, you can still get some decorations for outside. It's going to start snowing here this week, so I won't be out there putting up any more decorations. But if you have the energy and maybe live where it's a little bit warmer, here are a few ideas for you.
I'm not a big fan of the fake spider webs outside because birds and other little animals can get stuck in them. But this big spider web is kinda cool. The web is made of larger material and comes with two big spiders and it comes with the smaller, wispy web, but you don't need to use that. You can just use the larger material and make yourself a big scary spider web. How neat would this look in a yard?
I'm also in love with these skeleton lights. They are solar powered so you don't have to worry about how you are going to plug them in. You can put them anywhere you would like in your yard.
And maybe you are not that into spooky and you're looking for something that is a little cuter. How about his amazing skeleton unicorn? My daughter say this and lost it. She wants to put it in the house year round.
And let's not forget about dressing up. I know that a lot of use aren't going out this year, but that doesn't mean you can't dress up. Even if you are just handing our candy or like us, just having a candy hunt in the backyard, I think getting dressed up is going to super special this year.
I'm currently working on putting on the finishing touches to my daughters and mine Halloween costumes. She wants to be a capuchin monkey. Which is turning out so cute. If you're not into making your own costume, there is still plenty of time to buy one. Check out any of your local stores and I'm sure they will have some. If you don't want to go into a store, these are still available online.
You're staying home. You're not handing out candy. You're just watching scary movies with the family. Why not be comfy and dress up? Try a cozy onesie costume. They come in so many different style, there is one to surely meet your preferences.
Maybe you're looking for some thing a little bit more dressy than a onesie, how about this Halloween suit? I got this exact one for my husband and he loves it. I can see it become a staple on Halloween.
And how about going all out with you costume. Ge some thing super spooky. Just wear it around the house even if it's only you. Trust me, it will be fun.
Don't worry, there is still time to get a costume for your little one too. Maybe your neighborhood is doing safe trick or treating and kids need something to wear. There are still a lot of costumes, from spooky to cute, availabe to order.
So Halloween might be this weekend, but there is still time for you to spooky up your house and get something to wear. I know that things are different this year, but that doesn't mean we can celebrate Halloween at all.
What are you doing for Halloween? Are your plans changing this year? Do you have a favorite Halloween tradition or decoration or costume? Let me know below in the comments.

If you know me, you know I love Halloween. Okay, let me rephrase that, I LOVE HALLOWEEN. It is my favorite holiday and there is nothing I love more than dressing up and decorating the house this type of year. And since we will be celebrating at home this year, that means I’ll have to up my decorating game. So today I'm going to share with you some of my favorite Halloween goodies! This is part 2 of my awesome Halloween round up. Check out part 1 HERE for some awesome decore for in and around your house!

I wasn't able to include everything I love in these two blog posts, so if you would like to see all the things I love on Etsy, check out my Favorites.
This is a little bit of a long one, so let's get started. Costumes!
Okay, so I may or may not check out the all the amazing costumes on Etsy all the time. I mean there are some really impressive artists out there that create some of the most beautiful creations I've ever seen. So here are a few of my favorites.
Let's start with something so cute and so adorable, you have to love it.
BAT SUIT - BlamoToys
OMG, look at this little bat costume. I ma over here just going Squeeeeeeeee because I'm in love so much. This costume from Blamo Toys is unbelievable. And they have a large collection of costumes for kids and for adults. You'll find something perfect for you!
Okay, so this caught my eye immediately. I saw it and thought, I kinda want that.
This squirrel tail from Divendi is just absolutely amazing. And their shop is filled with some of the cutest things I've ever seen. I'm quite partial to anything hedgehog in their shop.
Okay, how about something that doesn't fall into cute and cuddly? Something that is a little bit creepy, a lot bit beautiful, and very relevant to the current times.
Look at this amazing plague doctor mask. It is completely customizable, including LED lights if you fancy. This mask from Higgins Creek is absolutely wonderful. They have a large variety of masks (including face masks), so if you need a beautiful mask for you costume this year (don't we all), check them out.
Let's not forget about our furry friends they need some love too!
Look at this! This is absolutely the cutes pen costume ever. I would work for a small dog or a cat (if they are cool with things like that). Who wouldn't love a piece of pie running around the house. Tickety Bootique is filled with amazing pen costumes and a big plus is you get to look at this gorgeous model.
Crafts
We're all staying home a lot more than we normally would, so why not spend that time working on some awesome crafts. Etsy is filled with amazing Halloween crafts for the whole family.
Let's start with something that I have been doing more and more of lately, embroidery.
This kit from Mipomipo Handmade is absolutely amazing! I love everything about, especially that it's a full kit with everything you need! And they have so many kits to pick from, I am having a hard time decided which one I want to start with.
Here is something else that stopped me in my tracks when I was perusing the spooky things.
I adore this little zen garden kit and the spooky vibes are all that and more. This kit from Dream Maker Craft is the perfect project this spooky season. Celebrate Halloween with a little zen in your life.
And of course I have something for all those beaders out there. You know I have a project (or a few projects) for you.
This is the Ultimate Halloween Peyote Stitch Set that can be found at Three Fates Design (that's me). It includes 12 patterns, 4 pen wrap patterns and 8 bracelet patterns (which also make awesome bookmarks). And all patterns in my shop come with a color graph, a word chart, a suggested list of colors, and a tips and tricks page. The perfect spooky collection for that witchy beader.
Everything Else
Here are a few other things that just knocked my socks off when I saw them!
Let's start with one of my favorite pass times (okay, I have a lot of hobbies, I know. I have a problem), baking!
I absolutely adore this rolling pin with the jack o lanterns on it from Make 8 Bake. What an awesome way to make cool spooky cookies. And since I am not professional cookie decorator, this is perfect for me.
I know this could go in the home décor section, but I love this little guy so much I had to share.
This little candle hold from Concrete and Copper Co is absolutely amazing. Actually everything in their shop is amazing. I had to include this because I think everyone should have one.
And what about adding some spookiness to your everyday look.
This beautiful silk scarf would be an amazing addition to your work outfit (you know the one were you only dress up from the waist up for that Zoom meeting). Everything by Klaradar is amazing.
Okay, I could go on forever and ever, but I need to stop somewhere. If you want to some more of my favorite spooky goodies, head over to my Etsy Favorites and check all the spooky goodness out.
So let me know what you think. Maybe you have an absolute favorite handmade Halloween goodie or maybe you make awesome Halloween stuff. Leave a comment below and let me know all your spooky thoughts.

As I’ve said before, I love Halloween. I usually decorate the house in September, and I start thinking about costumes in early June or July. I know, you might think that’s crazy, but you need time to plan and make an epic costume.
This year is a strange one, that is for sure. I live in one of the states with the highest COVID numbers, so we have decided to forgo the trick or treating and just celebrate at home. But that doesn’t mean it’s not going to be fun.
And since we are staying home this year, I need to up my decorating game this year. I’m decorating both in the house as well as the front and back yards this year. We are planning on hiding candy around the back yard and letting my daughter find them. Kinda like an easter egg hunt, but with a spooky feel. So even though we aren't planning on going out, I think it will be a special occasion anyway. And that means more decorations!
I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite spooky finds on Etsy. Check them out and tell me what you think!
Home Decor
First, I want to show you one of my favorites indoors decorations. These awesome bats for your wall. I mean look at them. They are amazing. I put bats up every year. And I think you should add some you your Halloween decoration.
There are lots of different options on Etsy, so you can find the perfect wall bats for you. I am personally fond of these bats from Shop Fluff.
Next up is my love of garland. I don't know what is is about it, I love garland. I love to put it up and I really love all the amazing garland you can get for Halloween.
Check out this amazing garland from Shop Cherry Sprinkles. I am in love with these little eyeballs. And the best part, they are totally customizable.
Check them out as well as all the other great garland in Shop Cherry Sprinkles shop.
Okay, one more garland and then I'll move on.
Oh my, look at these little ghost cuties. How could you not love these little tassel ghosts? They are so cute. And if you're not into these, Grim Grinning Goodies has a whole bunch of other tassel garland that is sure to please you.
Okay, let's move on from garland (I told you I loved it). I won't lie, I do have many more garlands save in my favorites because, well, I have a problem.
Look at this beauty. This sign would look great on a bookshelf or a mantle. I think it would really make any room a little bit more fun and a little bit more spooky. Check out this sign as well as all the others at Prince Wood Signs.
And finally, because you had to know that there would be beads, let's spooky up the place with a beaded beauty.
And of course it wouldn't be Halloween with a little bit of beadwork from my collection. This beaded skull would bring spookiness to any Halloween décor.
Outdoors Décor
Okay, so let's step outside for a bit and talk about some of my favorites for the front of your home (and the sides, and the roof, and the garage, and the backyard. My point is, you should put decorations anywhere you can)
Okay, so lets say you're one that doesn't want to go to spooky, just a little spooky. You still want your house to be inviting (maybe you are planning on having trick or treaters). Let's start with this sign!
Look at how cute this welcome sign is. It would look great at anyone's front porch. Check out all the great signs at Oconee Sign Shack. They have signs for all over your home.
But if you like things a little bit more spooky, check out his awesome skeleton lawn ornament.
This spooky lawn decore from Haag Made would scare anyone. Just imagine a few of these in your front yard, skeleton's reaching from beyond the grave. Check out all the amazing metal signs and furniture they have.
Speaking of spooky yard decor, check out this grim reaper.
Place this next to a tree to scare the neighborhood kids. Or close to the front door to deter anyone from ringing that bell. This grim reaper from AIG Print On-Line would be the perfect addition to anyone's Halloween decorations.
And finally for today, let's look at a little window decoration, which is perfect if want to get spooky, but don't have a yard.
Check out these cool window sticker set from Amaze Gift UK. They have a bunch of different window stickers that you could use on every window of your house or apartment. These are perfect for those that don't have a yard to put decorations in (or maybe you don't want to put as much effort in your decorations as I do).
Okay, so that's all I'm going to go through today, but come back on Friday for the rest of my favorite picks! I mean, of course I have my favorite costumes, accessories, and crafts.
So what did you think? What is your favorite way to decorate for Halloween? Do you ignore the holiday? Do you do the bare minimum? Or do you go all out? Are you doing anything different this year? Let me know in the comments below.

I have been working hard on getting new patterns in my shop as well as combining some of my best selling patterns into sets. I've started with holiday sets and I'm going from there. If you're looking to get a great price on a whole bunch of patterns, keep reading.
Who doesn't like getting a good deal? I love it. I'm a Midwest girl when it comes to that (I'm not a Midwest girl when it comes to cold, I hate the cold). I love a good deal and I love telling anyone that will listen to me about said deal. I don't know exactly what it is, but that feeling I get when I find an amazing deal is exhilarating, like that one time I found a brand new cashmere Calvin Klein sweater in my size at the thrift store for $7. IT. WAS. AMAZING. And I've been doing this my whole life, never buying anything at full price. Some might call me cheap, but I'm just thrifty and love a deal (I do NOT try to cheat people out of money, especially independent stores and artist. That drives me crazy.)
So I decided to start making pattern sets and offering them at a discounted price. How awesome is that? I'm starting with holiday patterns. So far I have a few Halloween sets available. Like this pen wrap set.
If you want them all, try this Ultimate Halloween Set! Get every spooky pattern I offer at an unbelievable price. 12 patterns for over 30% off what it would cost to buy them all individual. Cover yourself and all of your friends in spooky beadiness this Halloween.
I am also adding Christmas pattern sets as well. Try this bracelet pattern set on for size. That's 8 holiday patterns to brighten your winter months.
Of if you are a big fan of pen wraps, I have all of my holiday pen wraps packaged up in a nice set. That's 11 patterns! That could be a gift for everyone on your list.
All of these pattern sets include all the little extras I like to spoil my customers with. You'll get a full color pattern graph as well as a word chart. You'll get a list of suggested colors as well as a pictures of those individual beads so you can get an idea of what they look like. You'll also get some tips and tricks to help you finish your projects and pick your own colors if you would like. And of course, all of my patterns are 9 inches long (we're all different sizes, we should all be able to enjoy a beady bracelet) that I will adjust for you for free. That way you get the perfect size bracelet as well as you know how many beads you will need before ordering them.
After I have these pattern sets listed, I'll start moving on to my other best selling patterns. So swing by my Etsy shop and check out all the new pattern sets. Get some awesome patterns and an even more awesome price.
