I love big jewelry, I always have and always will, but I know it's not for everyone. So after so many of you asking for them, here they are, smaller versions of my most popular patterns.
They might be smaller, but they still pack a big color punch. Maybe you're looking for a pop of color on your arm. Or maybe a bright hat band to stand out in a crowd. Or maybe just a unique bookmark for that bibliophile in your life. These patterns are perfect for you.
I feel like I've been in a slump for quite some time. I've been home since March 16th, almost two months. When this first started I saw this as an opportunity to get all the things on my to do list finished. I'd get to spend a lot of time with my daughter. I'd get my studio cleaned. I'd get patterns done that I had stuck in my head. I'd even get some work done on my next big project. But that's not really what happened.
I have to work a few times a week, which is fine. I started making masks for my friends and family. That quickly turned into making them for friends of friends. I've also suffered the ups and downs that a lot of us have. When the weather is beautiful I just want to sit out on the porch and do nothing. When the weather is ugly, I just want to cuddle up on the couch and watch movies. So basically, I have accomplished, well.....not much. And that's okay. I was beating myself up for that for a while, but I've come to accept that it's okay. This is a strange time and I need to be accepting of my feelings. And since I've done that, I've started to be a bit more productive. I've started to actually feel like I want to work on things. Which is a nice feeling. So hopefully that means more patterns, more beadwork, more pretty pictures.
Take care of yourself. Treat yourself right. And do a little bit of beading to brighten your day.
Just a girl that loves to bead, take photos, and cuddle with her new baby and her pug.
