It's a new year, which means it's time to start planning for the year ahead. Start thinking about goals you want to reach and things you want to accomplish. In the past I have been pretty bad at keeping these resolutions. I don't reach a goal and then I get discouraged. But last year I was determined to not let myself down. I wanted to make sure that I reached as many goals as I could and if I didn't reach them, that was okay as long as I tried as hard as I could. This year I plan on doing the same thing. Make my goals and try as hard as I can to reach them. I've made myself 5 main goals for myself. Then I have a bunch of smaller ones as well.
First, I want to have 400 patterns in my Etsy shop by the end of the year. I have so many ideas in my head and so many patterns all ready to go, I just have to list them. Second, I want to double the orders I got last year. I was so proud of my 2019. I worked really hard to increase my traffic and sales. I built amazing relationships with amazing people and I want to keep that momentum going. I want to meet more beaders and I want to get more patterns out there. I never knew how amazing it would feel to see other making my patterns. It's one of my favorite things to see a finished pattern that a beader made using my pattern. Or hearing about how they made something as a gift and the recipient loved it. It makes my heart swell. Next, I want to melt glass again. My poor torches and kiln have been sitting unused for years. I want to clean everything up and get those bad boys running again. I LOVE melting glass and my heart aches every day that goes by that I'm not working on it. I know that it will be like starting over, but I'm ready for it. I ready to start again and learn how to melt again. Next, I want to work on my email list. I want to double the number of people signed up for it. I want to meet more people and build more relationships, which I love to do with my VIP group. So I'm working on new content. I'm taking classes on how to improve. And I'm working on new approaches to how to ask people to sign up. This will actually be the most challenging of my goals, but I hope I can do it. Finally, I want to clean my studio. No, I NEED to clean my studio. I need to get rid of beads I don't need. I need to find homes for finished pieces. I need to clean up the clutter. I need to be able to work in there again without feeling overwhelmed. And if I ever want to work on my torch, I definitely need to get it cleaned up. I bought myself a huge monitor so I could design and edit new patterns, but because there is so much clutter, I hate being down there. So I will get my studio clean. I will get rid of things I don't need anymore. I will find homes for my beads and finished jewelry. And I will be more productive because of it. I'm hoping by making these goals public I will feel like I have to accomplish them. I will have to work hard to reach them so when the new year rolls around I can celebrate with all of you. Do you do resolutions? What are they? I would love to hear what others are doing this year. Do you have person goals and/or business goals? Maybe we can be accountability buddies and keep each other in line. Would you like to be my accountability buddy?
